Our refurbishment service explained
Step 1 – Assessment
We’ll discuss with you how you’d like your existing hardware to be modified and its intended function. At this stage, we’ll assess the fixture and make some initial recommendations, as well as provide a cost estimate for the project.
Step 2 – Design and development
Our design engineers will provide sketches, visualisations and 3D models of any key mechanical areas to show you how your refurbished item will look and work. Once a final design has been signed off, we’ll start the manufacturing process.
Step 3 – High-precision machining
After bringing your hardware to our workshop in Surrey, our highly skilled machinists will start to use state-of-the art technology to turn your existing hardware into the finished item you desire. We’ll also rigorously inspect and test the product to make sure it meets the highest of standards.
Step 4 Refinishing
If required, we can carefully finish your refurbished item to a standard you’re delighted with. The refinishing services we offer include repainting, plating in a range of metals and bronze restoration.
Step 5 – Installation
Once you’re happy with your final product, our installation team will work closely with you to make sure your refurbished item is installed correctly in your museum or gallery. We’ll always do this with extreme care and in a way that causes minimal disruption to your space and customers.
