Design and development

At AEC Museum & Gallery Products, we offer a complete design and development service that can turn your unique ideas into exquisite finished products.

Our highly experienced design engineers are experts in 3D CAD drawing and design, prototype manufacturing, finite element analysis (FEA), photorealistic visualisations and manufacturing drawings.

Using the latest design technology, our aim is to develop superior quality products for museums, galleries and other cultural spaces that look incredibly stylish and do their job perfectly.

Our project process

Typically, we follow these steps when embarking on a new project with a client:

1. Initial briefing meeting and site survey to understand the project in full.

2. We provide a firm price for design and development and an estimate for the production of the required products.

3. If required, we will conduct a full site survey in the design and development stage, then develop 3D models and visualisations of the products.

4. After submitting an initial design to the client, we will work with them if any amends needs to be made. After a final design has been signed off, we will create professional manufacturer drawings and provide a firm price for the manufacturing of the designed products.

5. At this stage, we can also provide a price for the production of a prototype.

6. Our expert engineers and machinists will precisely manufacture your new products in our workshop in Surrey.

7. Following production, our expert technicians are available to install any of your new products, if this is required.

Our design and development services

// 3D modelling

Our manufacturing engineers use the latest CAD software to offer our clients the very best in 3D modelling for any type of concept or product.

// Prototype manufacturing

At AEC, we have a wealth of experience in rapid prototyping. This is a process that involves us quickly turning your product design into a full-scale model. The techniques we use include CNC machining and 3D printing.

// Finite element analysis

Finite element analysis (FEA), which is also known as structural analysis, is the process of simulating and analysing the behaviour of a part or assembly under specific conditions.

The benefits of finite element analysis can include improved accuracy, reduced prototype costs and greater insight into crucial design parameters.

// Photorealistic visualisations

Using CAD software, our skilled technicians can create photorealistic images of your high-quality museum or gallery product from 3D models.

// Professional manufacturer drawings

Once your product is ready for manufacture, we can produce a pack of professional manufacturer drawings that show all the detailed specifications for it, including full dimensions, material types and surface finish.

One-stop shop

From concept to prototype, manufacturing to aftercare services, we are a superb all-round choice if you require a bespoke product for your museum or gallery.
